Judo is a highly classified sport where the mind governs the manifestation of the body. It is a sport that improves people’s learning techniques. Judo requires technical research, Kata practice, self-defense work, physical preparation, and mental honing, in addition to participating in contests and fights.
Judo was created by its Master and Founder as an exceptionally modern and advanced exercise derived from ancestral traditions. Kano passed away in 1938 at the age of 78. His death did not put an end to Judo. His legacy has been conserved and has since bloomed into a globally recognized martial art.
Judo Clubs popped up worldwide in the 1950s. Judo was first presented as an Olympic sport at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and then at the 1972 Munich Olympics. This cemented Kano’s posthumous legacy. His real legacy, though, was idealism.
