PARENTING

Kelly is stern regarding basic etiquette, irrespective of whether they are the best at athletics or academics. She believes that her children must treat others with respect. When her children receive gifts, Ripa makes them write thank you notes. “The art of please and thank you never goes out of style,” she says.
She is so rigid about the letters that her son Michael has requested that he not get any gifts for his birthday. “I take thank you notes very seriously, to the point where my oldest son, Michael, has begged not to get birthday presents any longer because he doesn’t want to deal with thank you letters.”
