The initial stage is to identify and eliminate migraine and headache triggers. Maintain a headache log when you’re not sure what triggers an attack. Along with it, write about anything unusual that happened that day.
Was it a particularly trying day? Was it raining outside? Did you go anywhere involving much noise? Were you on a beach on a hot sunny day? Have you had a second cup of coffee? Stress is a significant factor for several people who suffer from tension headaches and migraines.
Keep track of your progress for a few weeks. You can then go over the information with your doctor and connect your behaviors and other outside factors that cause your headaches. After that, devise a practical strategy for avoiding such triggers.
While it’s doubtful that you’ll be able to eliminate stress, what could you do to control it? It could be accomplished by physical activity, journaling, or talk therapy. Other behaviors, such as getting enough sleep, eating regularly, and sticking to a routine, can also help lessen the number of headaches you experience.
